A relaxing, cocktail bar that recently moved across the town centre from Lime Street. It offers table service within the town-centre area of wines, cocktails and craft beers. The lighting is atmospheric and helps customers chill out. No real ale is available, however they have recently teamed up with Maule Brewing Company whom are providing craft beer, pilsner and lager (currently the only venue in the area stocking these beers). Contact in advance to book for a group as customer space is limited.

Locals' club north of the town centre founded in 1910 in former brewery offices. There is regular live entertainment on Saturday evening and a quiz on the last Tuesday of the month. New members, members' guests and visiting CIU members are welcome. Local CAMRA Club of the Year 2021.

There is bingo Sunday afternoon and evening, Monday is games night, Tuesday is Singles Night and there is live entertainment on Saturday. Two function rooms are available for private hire - one can accommodate 200 people and the other 60. New members are always welcome.

One of the oldest pubs in Bedford. It was thoroughly refurbished during Covid restrictions making it muchg lighter inside. A new garden room has also been addred. The addition of food service on Wednesday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes plus bar snacks during the week until 9 om. is another new development. Check Facebook for live music sessions.

Flexible function spaces can hold 150, with smaller rooms available for more intimate meetings. Membership on subscription is available for some facilities.

One of the hand pumps is dedicated to the current Wandering Brewer (the nomadic Charles Wells) collaboration beer which changes monthly. There are five keg taps behind the bar, one being for the seasonal Wandering Brewer collaboration.

Annual four-day beer and cider festival run by CAMRA North Bedfordshire in a historic performance venue. The 42nd Bedford Beer & Cider Festival was open from Wed 2nd to Sat 5th October 2019, but has now closed. CAMRA North Bedfordshire looks foreward to presenting its 43rd Bedford festival in October 2020.
Albero Lounge

An old school building set between the historic centre of Bedford around St Paul's Square and the recent Riverside North Development. There are a number of separate areas within the building in which this cafe-bar has been sympathetically developed. There is a large outside courtyard and it's a good place to relax and watch the world go by.

This is primarily an off-licence but there are six taps serving keykeg beers from what are generally less well-known sources, including from overseas. Keg beers are served in 1/3, 1/2 or 2/3 pint volumes. There is a good selection of beers in bottles or cans which can be consumed on the premises for a supplemental charge and beer from the taps can be taken out in flagons. The selection of beers changes frequently. Real cider is also available on draft. Real Ale is available in Bottles from Local and National Breweries. Formally a wine shop located on St. Cuthberts Street, is now a specialised wine bar. John has been within the wine trade for over 25 years and holds a WSTC Higher Certificate. As well as selling a large selection of wine, some of which can be consumed on site, they have a good selection of spirits with their own bottled ale (RAIB) from Richard at Brewhouse and Kitchen, Bedford. They hold monthly wine tastings which are ticketed.
