A former bank then Wetherspoon pub re-launched by the Brewhouse & Kitchen Group in 2016. The microbrewery is located within the main bar area alongside different seating areas separated by half-height dividers that are features in themselves. Orders can be placed at the table or at the bar, the menu includes an extensive list of drinks as well as food. Seasonal and special ales are available but only in KeyKeg.

Claimed to be the oldest LGBT pub in the country this three room street-corner pub on the edge of the town centre has recently (November 2019) come under new management. After a difficult period for the pub they are working to reestablish its reputation and develop is distinctive offering where all are welsome. Initially the music comes from a DJ on Friday and Saturday with a Drag Queen compering the karaoke on Wednesdays.

Pleasant late-Victorian pub in a residential area, a Wells house for its whole 120 years. Beer and cider festivals are held twice a year. The front bar has bare floorboards and an open fire, while there is a separate rear bar. The garden has a gazebo for smokers and a non-smoking paved area. A range of wines is sold by the glass or bottle. Local CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2018, Town Pub of the Year 2019 and Branch Pub of the Year 2020 and 2021.

One of the hand pumps is dedicated to the current Wandering Brewer (the nomadic Charles Wells) collaboration beer which changes monthly. Keg beers are served in 1/3, 1/2 or 2/3 pint volumes. There is a good selection of beers in bottles or cans which can be consumed on the premises for a supplemental charge and beer from the taps can be taken out in flagons. Formally a wine shop located on St. Cuthberts Street, is now a specialised wine bar. John has been within the wine trade for over 25 years and holds a WSTC Higher Certificate. As well as selling a large selection of wine, some of which can be consumed on site, they have a good selection of spirits with their own bottled ale (RAIB) from Richard at Brewhouse and Kitchen, Bedford. They hold monthly wine tastings which are ticketed.
