One cask ale, either Hobgoblin Gold or Greene King Abbot. Located on a busy main road this traditional pub is keg only. Popular with locals and renowned for it's lively atmosphere. Experimented with real ale for a while in 2019 but has now given up.

Spinney

Forest Rise, Balby DN4 9HQ

Modern pub in the middle of a pleasant housing estate. It has been in the same family for over 50 years (since 1966). Two bars, a large well furnished lounge to one side and a traditional roomy public bar to the other. There is a pool table and darts area to the side of the bar, with many cups and silverware on display, all won by the darts team and football team. One real ale, they tried two but couldn't sell enough, regularly changes with Caledonian and other guests. Bus stops nearby in Broadway.

Large, roadside pub close to the main road from Doncaster to Rotherham. Three main areas, one with pool table, open plan lounge with stage area for live bands to play on Saturday nights. Also dining section near the stage. Tried selling cask ales but after several bad experiences have given up.
