Angel Inn
95 High Street, Andover SP10 1ND
Oldest building in Andover saved when the town centre was redeveloped. A timber-framed courtyard inn built by Winchester College 1445–55 with some later modifications but remarkably intact. It is one of Hampshire's oldest inns and is Grade II* Listed. Note also the coaching light window. There are two bars; the upper was once used as a Court. A pleasant small patio is at rear as well as the sheltered and decorated courtyard at the front. Live music and karaoke feature and there is pool and darts. Breakfasts are very good value.

Large pub on edge of Andover, serving a local clientele. On what used to be the main road out of the town, but now bypassed, so in a quiet area. Records of a pub on the site date back to the 13th century pub but much has changed, although old fireplaces and beams remain from subsequent rebuilds. There are also tales of Prize Fights and cock-fighting being held in centuries past. It is now a pleasant community pub.

The name itself stems from a time when the Andover to Southampton railway ran adjacent to the Inn and it provided accommodation and hostelry services to Andover’s second railway station. Located just off the town centre, situated in an historic mill with a working water wheel with the river Anton passing through. There are several separate areas for dining and drinking including a comfy lounge upstairs. Pub games are also played upstairs and a well-supported quiz is held on Wednesday evenings. The riverside garden is very popular in summer months. Usually three to four beers are available from the Wadworth's guest list.

A 16th century historic coaching inn with stables, although now much modernised. Note the small coaching light window in the side passageway (there is another at the Angel). It was recently renamed the Victoria Cross but reverted after a very short time back to The Globe due to local opposition. There is one long room downstairs with a bar, TV and pool, while upstairs at the front there is an area that can also be used for functions. The pub recently re-opened (March 2018) after a short closure.

There are also 5 more regular and semi-regular bar staff who cover the bar on Jane’s nights off, or on busier nights.The bar area has a nice friendly atmosphere and is a comfortable area for an evening/weekend drink. Facilities in the bar area include dart board, lottery ticket machines, and fruit machine. We also have WIFI via the cloud, and SKY sports and BT sports available on a screen in the bar or the annex.
