This cliff-top cafe offers stunning views of Aberystwyth and the surrounding countryside and can be reached by either riding the funicular railway or climbing via the steep and well maintained paths. The restaurant provides a great range of lunchtime meals, cakes and ice-cream and a single handpump is available serving beer from Felinfoel brewery. ( Please note: That this beer may be served via Felinfoel's Shakespeare dispense which adds Carbon dioxide to the beer to prolong life ).

This town-centre mid-terrace bar has recently been refurbished and provides a modern cozy atmosphere in which to enjoy a drink. The premises is divided into three rooms. At the front of the building is relaxed area with comfy armchairs and wooden tables, and at the rear a number of booth-like high tables. At the very back is a small garden with tables and chairs which is a suntrap in the summer months. The Bottle and Barrel offers a mixture of Welsh products and National guest beers as its main focus with eight keg lines, and up to two Real Ale pumps. A large screen behind the bar lists the beers on offer. There is also a selection of Welsh Gins and Mead and the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always willing to provide a taster or advice on the drinks available.
