Two TVs at either end of this airy pub.

Hen Orsaf
Station Buildings, Alexandra Road, Aberystwyth SY23 1LH
A recently refurbished award-winning conversion of Aberystwyth's 1924-built ex-GWR railway station. This much-improved Wetherspoons offers up to 6 guest beers with a beer from Purple Moose always available. Usual Wetherspoon policies and promotions apply. Trains, buses, and taxis all adjacent. Outdoor drinking is on old station concourse. Customers' curious habit of queueing at individual tills, as if at a fast food restaurant, can lead to long queues and may confuse those used to more conventional bar service.
Vale of Rheidol
Terrace Road, Aberystwyth SY23 1NY
This historic pub was originally called "The Terminus" and was situated close to the railway when it first arrived in Aberystwyth in 1863. It can still be found opposite Aberystwyth's more modern station and was renamed 'Vale of Rheidol" in the 1960's, which refers to the local steam train service. The pub itself has changed little since and still comprises of a single long room with a bar running almost the half the length. It has been recently refurbished in 2019 from top to bottom with all facilities brought up to-date, and care has been taken to preserve the pub's history and cosy interior. Although no food is served, plans are in place to link up with a local businesses to provide bar snacks.
Starling Cloud
Park Avenue, Aberystwyth SY23 1PG
Aberystwyth's newest pub (as opposed to bar), opened April '13. The meet-and-greet service style seems to be applied less assiduously of late, so with luck you may escape being asked "Will you be dining with us today?". The food, while centrally supplied, is serviceable, but in a town not well supplied with food pubs the bland corporate style here still represents something of a missed opportunity. The beers are believed to be dispensed under the 'Fast Cask' system. An occasional seasonal Marston's beer.
