The Duchess is a friendly community pub situated near Scarborough Hospital and popular with locals. There are three drinking areas in the pub; the Sportsmans bar, lounge and conservatory together with a spacious beer garden. An extensive food menu is available for lunchtimes and evenings - there are also food theme nights. The Sunday quiz nights are a regular event and there is occasional live entertainment at weekends. Smokers are catered for at the rear. A "hail & ride" bus service passes the pub.
