At the top of the Walsall market the old Royal Exchange pub was incorporated into an adjoining Salvation Army hostel and former leather works in 1995. It now forms the luxurious Lyndon House Hotel. The comfortable bar has an island counter, cosy corners and old wood and brick giving it a traditional feel. With its function room, and outdoor terraces, it is unexpectedly spacious. Live music Sunday afternoon and Monday evening. Lunch time hot club sandwiches are a delicious bargain.
