After a chequered history of management changes in recent times, the pub was bought by Black Country Ales and opened in May 2017. Picturesque frontage, wood panelled bar and separate lounge area. The new owners have refurbished the interior, giving a comfortable and welcoming feel. 10 handpumps, usually one of those is a Cider. The beer choice is plainly on view via an electronic display on the wall behind the bar (familiar to frequent visitors of their sister pub, the Wellington in Birmingham).
