Opened in March 2008, this large Wetherspoons was formed by converting a former Unonist Club, then extending it. It`s two-storey glass frontage is a unique feature. Inside there are two areas - a huge cavernous bar and a smaller lounge area in the former Club accommodation. Some seating is also available on the first floor. Outside there is a suntrap garden resting against Hertford Castle`s walls. The pub features pictures of people and buildings from Hertford`s past. Regular beer and cider festivals throughout the year.
