Purple Turtle

The pub celebrated its 25th year in 2015. The Purple Turtle is Reading's longest running independent pub. While many people will associate the pub with the trappings of noisy misspent youth, it underwent a major overhaul in 2013/14. Good selection of British and foreign bottled beers which usually includes gluten free. Note that all handpumps were removed in 2018 and cask ale is no longer available.
