After a closure of about two years, the "Silli"opened again at the beginning of November 2016 and two weeks later the restaurant was re-opened and then the hotel rooms. The whole place has been modernised and is bright and comfortable and the small public bar has a very welcoming open fire, is a part of the hotel and restaurant. Three handpumps were installed soon after opening, but those only lasted 12 months before being removed. However bottled Cairngorm beer is still avaialble.
