Well established and popular pub facing Washington Village Green. Built in 1828 makes it one of the oldest pubs in the area. It changed its name from The Commercial Hotel in 1937. There are 3 distinct drinking areas and a large garden at the rear.
After a redecoration in early 2018 a third handpull was installed. ( The handpulls are in the bar as you walk in). Beers are rotated and there will always be at least 1 blonde ale available There is a 10% discount for CAMRA members - be sure to ask as no visible signage. Food is served all day till 9pm from an extensive menu and includes breakfast till noon and themed meal nights.
