Kirkpatricks

Large brick built building in town centre which was the former Marine School of South Shields.This pub is named after South Shields WW1 hero John Simpson Kirkpatrick, whose memorial statue stands outside the pub. Extensive food menu available. Note the two slightly different pub names above the main entrance. And also note the Blue Plaque to the left of the entrance. Handy for town centre buses and the Tyne and Wear metro.
