An unpretentious and welcoming no-nonsense, back-street, two-bar pub of the best kind. No real ale is served but there is a selection of less common kegged beers and lagers. Bar food is served Monday to Friday lunchtimes and wholesome and hearty breakfasts cooked Saturday and Sunday being especially popular locally. There is TV, pool, juke box and darts in the front bar with a quiet and comfortable separate longe. Dogs welcomed.
