After closing for a period in 2014, the pub was refurbished and enlarged. The building first featured as a pub in the 1820s Radnorshire Quarter Sessions. It is a traditional style pub with two connecting spaces. In good weather you can sit on the pub forecourt, next to an ancient mounting block, and watch the traffic go by. There are regular daytime bus links to Llandrindod Wells and very limited links to the rest of mid Wales.
