The Lovat Arms does not serve real ale (yet) but is included so as to include all the licensed premises in the Highlands & Western Isles Branch Area. Family-owned traditional Highland hotel, an 18th century Category ‘B’ listed building, located in the middle of the bustling small town of Beauly, next to the attractive town square with its array of local shops and eateries. The lounge and public bars are open all day, and afternoon teas may be taken outwith the lunch and high tea or dinner serving times. Much of the beef, lamb, pork and venison used in their Strupag Brasserie originates from the Fraser family farm at Torachilty. Clan Fraser of Lovat is the principal clan in the area and their local history extends back to the 13th Century. The rectangular market square, once the scene of cattle fairs, was planned by Baron Lovat circa 1840.
