Head of Steam

Opening hours

One of the famous pair of real-ale "bookends" at the railway station. A favourite calling point on the Ale Trail. The outlet is a large, 4-roomed pub, with the rooms in 'quarters' around a central serving area. Each room has its own character and its own locals. The pub's beer range is outstanding, with 10 real-ales on sale at all times and beer quality has improved no end since all ales were concentrated in one room. This is complemented by up to 6 real ciders and an extensive British and world bottle range. Many beer festivals are held throughout the year. Now owned by Cameron's brewery.
