Counting House
2 St Vincent Place, GlasgowG1 2DH
A busy pub on George Square with a good view of the City Chambers. Built as the Bank of Scotland's main Glasgow office by J T Rochead, it has many fine features including the central dome and surrounding sculptures. In addition to the regular cask beers, there are up to 12 guest ales, sourced from all over the UK. A bottle store in one of the bank's old strong rooms holds a large range of bottled and canned beers. "Meet the Brewer" nights are held regularly. Alcohol can be purchased after 7am with food or after 11am generally.
