Reopened in July 2020 after an extensive refurbishment following its purchase by new owners.
The furniture in the bar of this pub/hotel/restaurant is simple and practical with plain tables and free-standing chairs, augmented by wall seating. The latter repeated in the beer garden along with bench-tables. Three pumps serve Scottish beers plus a guest, usually local, sometimes from further afield. The chef prepares meals for the upstairs restaurant from Scottish produce including fish/seafood, game and other meats. The quality is reflected in the daily specials served in the bar.
Acoustic sessions usually take place on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
