Now named after a famous shorthorn ox, Comet, born in nearby Ketton Hall in 1796 that now warrants its own extensive Wikipedia page. Recently refurbished, this modern contemporary Stonegate Town Pub & Kitchen outlet ticks all the boxes, including friendly staff, six handpulls, serving two regular beers and four guests, with pub food, served all day everyday, but please note that there is not a food service after 7.00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. There is also a large upstairs function room available for private parties. Third pint glasses available. A single large upright leather Chesterfield chair is tucked away in a corner but cosily placed next to the fire.
