Bridge Barn
Bridge Barn Lane, Woking GU21 6NL
Set on the bank of the Basingstoke Canal with moorings immediately adjacent, the Bridge Barn was once a farm building dating in parts to the 16th century. After being part of a nursery and then a riding school the building was extended and converted to a Beefeater pub and restaurant in the ‘80s. The bar is in the older part of the building with brick and oak beams exposed and in the corner closest to the canal is a wood panelled snug.
Cafe Class
14 The Broadway, Woking GU21 5AP
Cellar Magneval
3 Church Path, Woking GU21 6EJ
Welcoming and informal wine bar that opened in 2011, a short distance from the entrance to Woking Station. The single-roomed bar is decorated with a rustic feel. A eclectic range of seating is arranged around a mix of just half a dozen dining and coffee tables at which you can be served, or you can choose to sit at the bar if you prefer. The extensive wine list is complimented by four interesting bottles beers. The most locally produced is the bottle conditioned Saison brewed by the owner in collaboration with Thurstons Brewery in Woking. A very different ambiance to most of the other formulaic drinking establishments in the town centre.
