Winnington Park Recreation Club

Private club open to non-members (fee payable), free to card-carrying CAMRA members. The club was established in 1890 suffering a fire on the night of the Northwich Fire Brigade Christmas Party, the club was subsequently rebuilt. The club plays host to a variety of sports and pastimes from bowls, cricket and hockey to snooker, archery, chess and line-dancing. During the summer months there are cricket matches on a Saturday, so weather permitting yo can sit and enjoy a drink watching the game.

The former Grey Parrot Hotel (with the Snooty Fox, Rock Garden, Winnington Lodge and more recently Sir John Brunner as other names it has held) is situated off Winnington Lane with extensive grounds.
