Formerly the Moby Dick, Hickory's Smokehouse was renovated in spring 2013. A warm welcome with attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Thoroughly modern feel with polished wood and exposed brickwork throughout. Lots of TV's showing a variety of sports and booths complete with their own TV. The while the smell of the smoked food permeate throughout. An amazing outside decking area complete with stylish yet comfortable furniture. The house beer, Hickory's Old, is brewed by Weetwood.

Though not the oldest building in the world, the Ridger manages to mix classic pub styles into it’s “newbuild” charms. It’s a great place to mingle with friendly locals, while the friendly, knowlegable staff serve great beer and food. Large family pub with play area. Live screen sports and occasional live music, this pub is very active locally with a darts team and offering events most evening including a poker night.

A traditional pub in a two hundred year old sandstone building close to the centre of West Kirby. The pub is a little quirky and laid out over several different levels with lots of cosy nooks to sit in along with a real fire to keep you warm in winter. During warmer months you can enjoy the lovely beer garden to the rear. There is a quiz on Monday night. Thai food now available (from the Bamboo Thai Company)

A smart, modern, open plan bar with plain wooden panelling, bare brick walls and a log burning stove owned by Spitting Feathers brewery. Seating on the pavement outside. A wide range of beers, mainly from microbreweries both near and far are served along with one real cider. A variety of cheese, fish, cold meats and vegan snacks are served as impressive platters. There is live music on a Saturday night during which the pub tends to be very busy. Close to West Kirby shops and transport connections, a short walk to the beach and for those trekking to Hilbre Island, tides permitting.
