A former CAMRA National Pub of the Year which reopened in 2013 following refurbishment by Black Country Ales. This imposing Victorian hostelry has two distinct rooms warmed by open fires, and a large yard at the rear with patio heaters and an outbuilding. There are seven changing guest beers plus the three Black Country Ales core beers and five traditional ciders. Cobs are served. Great Bridge is a 10-minute walk, which has frequent services to Dudley, West Bromwich and Birmingham.

A back-street local offering an interesting range of pale changing beers. The rear White Room is used for occasional live entertainment and can also be hired for events and meetings. Live sporting fixtures are shown on a flatscreen TV, below which is a real fire. The pub is part of the popular Red Pub Co regional portfolio. A public footpath runs adjacent to the pub which leads to Sheepwash Nature Reserve.

The pub has a loyalty card scheme whereby one free pint is earned once ten stamps have been collected (one pint purchased = 1 stamp).
