Reopened July 1st 2021 under new operators. Primarily a beer-drinker's pub in a Grade II-listed building on Thornbury's High Street. 200 years as a butcher's shop, with further records of use going back to the mid 17th century. The building has some superb period features such as fireplaces, alcoves and ceiling beams in its 3 rooms. There's also an ancient and massive front door. The pub offers up to six cask beers on handpump, plus two real ciders.

Licensed since 1695 and the second oldest pub in Thornbury, this friendly, traditional inn has one regular beer and several changing guest beers, all served on handpump, plus a real cider. Good home cooked food available daily, with special offers for a Tuesday Lunch Club and Thursday Supper Club. There are two large rooms, one of which has been split to provide a function/meeting area and is used by local artists. Dogs welcome in the public bar, which was the original pub. The pub also has its own cribbage, dominoes and cricket teams and angling syndicate. The garden includes a boules piste and children's play area.

Popular cafe/bar/bistro in the pedestrian district of Thornbury. The building retains exposed stonework on the inside, and even an ancient archway from a former road. The three guest ales are sourced from breweries within 20 miles or so of Thornbury and all served by handpump. Normally, these will be one pale, one medium (brown'ish) and one dark beer. Coffee and home cooked food available at all times of the day from 08:30. Decorated with old bookshelves, populated with old & interesting books and board games. Brewdog's Vagabond gluten-free beer usually available in bottle.

Refurbished and rebranded in Dec 2016, this Marston's pub - formerly the Knot of Rope - is at the top of the High Street. There are two bars, and three entrances from the street. Four handpumps serve real ales from the Marston's stable of breweries and a fifth pump is used for cider.
