Syston Social is home to many local societies and sports clubs including darts, skittles, chess and crib. There is an attractive lounge bar on the ground floor, split into several distinct areas, and the large first floor function room is available for hire and events. The range of beers includes regulars from Marstons and there are several rotating guest beers, usually from local breweries. A regular winner of Leicester CAMRA's club of the year poll. CAMRA members can gain entry by showing a valid membership card, as can anybody in possession of a copy of the Good Beer Guide.

The building is 200 years old and was a former coach house. Everards have traded here since 1922. The bar across the front consists of three rooms knocked together and a smaller room at the rear. At the back is a courtyard drinking area, a large garden (including petangue court) and a carvery restaurant. There is regular entertainment. Beer and cider festivals are held during the year. Guest beers are sourced through Everards, and can include regional and microbrewery beers.
