Marine Hotel

This is the only outlet in the Six Degrees North empire that serves Real Ale. Scottish CAMRA Pub of the Year 2008, and branch Pub of the Year 2008-2010 and 2013. Small harbourside hotel featuring simple wood panelling in the bar and a rustic lounge with an open fireplace. The upstairs restaurant has its own handpumps. Outside seating with a splendid view of the harbour. Two to three beers from the in house Six Degrees North brewery are served. Guest ales are mostly sourced from local and regional breweries, with occasional beers rarely seen regionally. Several Belgian beers on draught and a massive choice of bottled Belgian beers - ask for the beer menu. Up to six craft keg beers from the 6 Degrees North brewery and up to twelve other craft keg products are available. Historic Dunnottar Castle is one mile south. Seasonal open air bathing pool one mile north.

Built in 1771, this harbour-front hotel has a maritime themed, wood-panelled bar and a small outdoor seating area overlooking the water. The long, narrow bar boasts a mirror from the defunct Devanha Brewery as a prominent feature. Two beers are offered, with at least one Strathbraan beer available. An extensive range of malt whiskies is stocked. A modern restaurant, with panoramic harbour views, is adjacent to the bar, with food, unsurprisingly, fish is a speciality, served all day at the weekend. Accommodation is available in eleven guest rooms.

Large Victorian house in town centre, near market square, converted to 11 bedroom hotel and pub. Bar area is in a modern extension to the rear overlooking the large, secluded walled garden, which is ideal for outdoor drinking, weather permitting. Quiz nights on Wednesdays are well supported. Orkney ales selected by patrons are served from pins. May close earlier in winter Dunnottar Castle, the picturesque harbour and seasonal open air bathing pool are close by as is the home of the deep fried Mars Bar!.

A small, open bar near the Market Square with a rear games room. Now under new ownership, wa Belhaven owned, and due to be refurbished. it has two pumps but may only be one on outwith tourist season. Two entrances off the main street would indicate that there may have been two separate bar and lounge areas at one time. No ale any more.
