A double fronted stone building situated on the corner of Newchurch road and Peel Street in Higher Cloughfold. The bar is in the main room but also serves the tap room. The four real ales include offerings from Moorhouse's and Reedley Hallows with a changing selection from other mainly North West breweries. The pub dates from 1776 but was renovated in 1905. There is a large beer garden overlooking the picturesque Rossendale valley.
