This historic Ormskirk pub has recently been sympathetically refurbished. However, since reopening during the coronavirus lockdown, sadly it has lost it's real ale. There is a restaurant to the rear of the premises and a large beer garden. The restaurant is one from the small local Spitroast chain. Featured in CAMRA's Classic Town Pubs guide in the 1980s, the pub is situated on the busy pedestrianised Burscough Street which is close to the main A570 from Southport to St. Helens.

Farmers Club

Housed in an impressive Georgian building, the grand portico entrance leads into an architecturally-impressive interior. The club has active snooker and darts teams, and screens live football matches with the club often laying on free refreshments. The two Cask Marque accredited ales are well-kept and have resulted in the club being voted local CAMRA Club of the Year for the last few years. Visitors are asked to present a current Good Beer Guide or CAMRA membership card for entry.

A converted former shop customised as a single room bar it features 4 cask ales, and aims to offer a porter or stout, an amber bitter and two pale beers of different strength.Plus an extensive range of local and international bottled beers and craft beers on tap. There is a weekly quiz (Wednesday) and regular music events, Open Mic (Thursday), and music Saturday and Sunday.
