Large beer garden at back - half astra-turf with benches, the other half slabbed for smokers with two heaters under cover. Cask ale is only occasiionally available and generally not midweek.

Wetherspoon has done an excellent job in bringing this Grade II-listed former post office, dating from 1914, back to life. Cheshire-brewed beers are often to be found on the bar as well as at least one darker beer (mild, stout or porter). Large and mainly open plan inside, TVs screen news channels with subtitles throughout the day. Free Wi-Fi is available. The car park is behind the pub off Meadow Street immediately after the Royal Mail sorting office.
