The oldest building to continuously trade as a pub in Northwich in a spectacular riverside location with an impressive garden, refurbished 2017. Four roomed traditional pub, three of the rooms with oak beams and low ceilings. The building dates back to 1650 and still retains many original features and is situated next door to the Salt Museum whilst boasting the only l-shaped bowling green in the country. Sunday afternoon live music alternates between acoustic music and an open mic session. In support of Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital the pub is selling homemade treat biscuits for dogs and pub raised £1000 for the charity in 2019.
