Reopened 28 May 2019 after an extensive refurbishment by Star Pubs & Bars. After a while as the Snooty Fox which closed on 28 January 2018, it's name is now based on the original name of the Globe Inn. Inside, the extensive refurbishment by Heineken’s Star pubs & bars, features a ground level cafe style area that can open up onto Bartholomew Street. This front area has a hard floor and a high ceiling giving extra natural light from the first floor windows. Greenery and the spoked light fitting break up the tall space. A ramp from the main entrance, on the right, leads up to the central bar area with high tables. Uneven renovated floorboards lead through to the rear, furnished with sofas and low tables. Framed photos decorate the grey painted walls here with books and games available from a shelf. The front of the old bar counter now features black and white tile patterns. Handpumps supply up to four cask ales. There are beers from Beavertown and Brixton breweries in the keg and canned ranges. 'The Garden' is the name for the extra space in the shopping centre adjoining the pub and this extra area is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No table bookings are taken.

Berkshire's first micropub opened on 14 November 2014. It is situated near West Berkshire Council offices in Market Street and set back from the main road. Space for 6 casks on custom made stillage. Beers are sourced from local breweries like Andwell, Downton, Ramsbury, Triple fff, Wild Weather, Longdog and Indigenous. Between two and four beers are usually available. Real ciders on draught often includes a local one from Tutts Clump Cider. Drinks available are shown on a large blackboard. Furniture includes two tables, a long pew, wooden chairs and high stools. Windows on two sides give plenty of natural light. There are several council run car parks nearby. Pork pies, pickled eggs, pickled onios, crisps, nuts and pork scratchings are available. Landlord Ian Batho was previously at the Woodpecker, Wash Water. Casks are cooled by cold water flowing through tubes between the cask and insulated jacket. 20p / pint CAMRA discount. Newspaper on Saturdays.

Large, new build pub/restaurant which opened in 2015, specialising in rotisserie chicken meals and serving a selection of cask ales from various breweries owned by Marston's. On the southern outskirts of Newbury, the pub is located on the road leading to Newbury College from Monks Lane. Family friendly with an outside play area for children.
