Morley Hayes

Morley Hayes is a large center which is home to three restaurants all with different dining experiences from formal dining in The Dovecote to traditional bar meals in Roosters Bar. It also has The Spike bar housed in the Golf Pavilion where breakfasts are served from 7.30am prior to your game of golf.

Rural cottage pub. The interior is quite small, knocked-together: bar area on the left and lounge on the right. Modernised but there are some remains of interwar remodelling: tiles in the porch, beamed ceilings and small red floor tiles. A few seats outside, and on the left an open garden with picnic tables and kids' play area. The H1 and Y1 buses stop outside.
Breadsall Priory

Breadsall Priory was once an Augustinian Priory, formed by the Curzon family of Derby with parts of the building originating from 1260. It is now a luxury hotel famed for being the oldest hotel worldwide in the Marriott Group. It sits in 300 acres of parkland which house two championship golf courses. A changing guest beer is served in the Tempo bar to the rear of this historic building.

Originally in 1786 this site only housed a wooden shed built by the Kerry family, it was utilised for the growing coach trade in the area. In 1935, the pub was rebuilt, re-opening in 1937. It is a very popular country pub and restaurant serving excellent seasonal food. Entry from the car park leads into the main bar area but it also has some smaller cosy rooms.
