A free house offering a wide range of real ale, key keg lines, cider and craft bottled and canned beers in a large single, "L" shaped bar. The single traditional bar has been nicely refurbished with a new tiled floor, wooden tables, a wide range of breweriana decorating the walls and a wood-burner. To the rear, a courtyard garden has its own wood-fired pizza oven (Friday evening is pizza night).

Originally advertised as England's most easterly brew-pub, this lively town-centre tavern is situated on Triangle market. Owned by Green Jack brewery - winner of many awards - it consists of two bars joined by a corridor decorated with brewery memorabilia. The original brewery is located to the rear. Regular beer festivals are also held. The front part of the pub used to be the Oddfellows, while the back part is the original Triangle Tavern. As of March 2018, some of the regular beers have been changed so you will now found Manderina and Jester available.
