Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2015 to 2019. With 17th Century origins this is a traditional alehouse with exposed beams, wooden floors and an open fire. Eight handpumps often feature beers from Leighton Buzzard, North Cotswold, Slaters and Purity. Eight changing real ciders are available and an impressive bottled and canned beer menu lists over 100 Continental and British beers. There is a large paved garden. Bar snacks are served and BYO cold lunches are welcome.

Traditional Two-bar pub with a quiet small Lounge bar at the front and a games orientated Public bar at the rear with pool, dominoes and darts, plus large screen TV and gaming machines. The staff are enthusiastic about choice of ales and ask their customers to help choose them from Punch's monthly guest ale list. It was built in the 1830's as the Railway Tavern and it changed name to the Buckingham Arms in 1848. They still get passing trade from travellers on route to the nearby rail station.

As well as the well-kept ales there is a list of twenty-one Irish and Scottish single malt whiskies.
