A 18-Hole Par 71 Golf Course set in the Royal grounds of Hampton Court Palace. History - Set in the royal grounds of Hampton Court Palace, Hampton Court Palace Golf Club hosts a wealth of history dating back to 1893, when her Majesty Queen Victoria opened Home Park to the public on Whit Monday. Two years later, sixteen gentlemen proposed the construction of a 9-hole golf course which was shortly approved as ‘Home Park Golf Club’. Since 1895, Home Park Golf Club has gone through vast change including 3 different clubhouses. One of which was destroyed by a fire in 1977. In 2001, new ownership changed the name of Home Park Golf club to Hampton Court Palace Golf Club, making considerable improvements to the course and electing to build the most recent clubhouse, which stands tall in the middle of Home Park's grounds. Remains of the old clubhouse can be found buried under the practice area.
