Wenn's Chop & Ale House

The Wenn's reverted to its former name after an extensive renovation in February 2020. The remodelled interior has a number of separate rooms and there are also tables outside on the edge of Saturday Market Place. Beers are from local breweries and despite its name, the menu offers traditional pub food and does not major on chops. There is pay parking opposite and round the corner. Highly rated accommodation is available.

Small, lively pub near the South Gates. Sold by Greene King in march 2013 and is now a free house. No food. Quiz nights on alternate Mondays and hosts live music. It is lighter and slightly larger since being redecorated and has a covered smoking area and walled garden

Cider drinkers have a choice of ciders, normally including something from local cider producer Whin Hill. The local CAMRA Branch's Cider Pub of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. Live music is sometimes played in the public bar.

A real community street corner local which was refurbished in early 2018. The pillars have gone and the interior is now light and bright and seems much more spacious. There are a couple of screens with live sport and four guest ales an the bar. The outside tables are well used if the weather is nice.
