Small area set aside near to the front where a couple of sofas are located near the fire place. Changed name from Board Inn in 2016.

An ex-coaching house named Nags Head in 1835 which was renamed Bowmans on being taken over by John Bowman who had been brought up next door at the Wellington when his father William was licensee. The hotel was extended at the rear in 1864 when Howden hosted the Yorkshire Show. Large open plan bar but with 3 distinct rooms/areas off the main drinking area.

Recently refurbished old coaching inn first recorded as a licensed premises in 1724 as the White Hart and renamed after the Duke of Wellington in the 1820’s. An additional storey was added when the Great Yorkshire Show came to Howden in 1864. A raised restaurant area to the right of the entrance complements a small comfortable bar to the left. A small room off the corridor to the rear tarmaced garden area, doubles as the hotel reception. Tuesday is quiz night.
