Cherry Tree Inn
Church Street, Horbury WF4 6LT
Cosy traditional pub dating from 1887 located in a quieter quarter of the town. Listed as a Building of Local Interest; it has undergone a much needed renovation and reopened in November 2018. The pub is the brewery tap for the on-site Horbury Ales brewery - four of their beers are available. The pub opens earlier for breakfast (see food times) but alcohol service starts at midday.
Cricketers Arms
22 Cluntergate, Horbury WF4 5AG
Located on the edge of the town centre, this former Melbourne (later Tetley) house has now reopened as a genuine free house. The pub has had a tasteful refurbishment that has extended the length of the bar. Although a full menu is not offered snack platters are usually available. There are bus stops close by with a frequent service to Wakefield and Dewsbury and a fairly frequent service to Huddersfield nearby, but if you are not familiar with the schedule it may be better to walk one stop nearer to the town centre where all services stop.
