Relatively unspoilt two-bar Victorian pub dating back to at least 1861. Games are a major feature as the pub has several darts teams. Karaoke takes place on Friday and Saturday nights.

Gipsy Queen

160 Whitworth Road, Gosport PO12 3NW

A relatively unspoilt, locally listed, ex-Brickwoods pub with two separate bars, a games bar with juke box and a quieter lounge bar. The beers often come from independents and occasionally from local breweries.

White Horse

36 Nobes Avenue, Gosport PO13 0HU

For many years a keg-only pub, the White Horse reopened in February 2017 under new management. There are now two real ales, normally from the Marston's range. The premises comprise an L-shaped bar, with a separate room only used for functions. Karaoke takes place on Friday evenings, and live music alternates with a disco on Saturday evenings. A limited menu of bar snacks is available between 9 and 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Junction Tavern

1 Leesland Road, Gosport PO12 3ND

This relatively small pub is on the site of Leesland Junction, on the Fareham to Gosport railway line, now a cycle track and footpath. The seating once consisted of old railway carriage seats. Deana, the licensee introduced real ale when she took over a few years ago. The three real ales are from independent breweries and four real ciders and a real perry are available. A beer festival take place over the Easter weekend.

Basic locals' pub set back from the A32. Food is available, but limited to a selection of filled rolls.

Typical locals' pub which re-opened under new management in December 2017. There is a large main bar with a gems area, and a smaller lounge bar, which is sometimes used for private functions. Live music occasionally takes place on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

Basic street-corner locals' pub with a large single bar. Breakfasts are served between 9 am and 12 noon on Saturday mornings.

Queens Hotel

Under the same management for over 35 years, this award-winning free house is sought after by locals and visitors from all over the country. The focal point is a real fire with a carved wood surround. Three guest beers are available, from independent breweries and micros. Snacks are served on Friday lunchtimes. The pub is the principal outlet for the nearby Newtown brewery. Branch Pub of the Year 2020.

Back street locals pub, with single bar divided into seating and games areas. Up to two guest beers are available, along with a varying real cider. A limited range of food is available all day. The pub darts team appears to be doing well, judging by the number of trophies behind the bar. Occasional live music takes place on Friday or Saturday evenings.

Typical small-scale Wetherspoons outlet in a pedestrian precinct. The premises were originally occupied by Churchers Solicitors, who moved up the road, and the name was taken from a Coaching Inn a few doors away now called Nelson's.

Large, 1960s food-orientated pub on main road. Major sporting events shown on Sky & BT Sport platforms. In addition to Greene King IPA, a seasonal offering from one of Greene King's breweries is stocked.

Seahorse

Modern estate pub in the Gomer Lane housing development. There is a large bar area with pool table and widescreen TV and a separate restaurant, plus a large patio and garden The food is made from locally sourced organic produced wherever possible and has received good reviews in the local press.
