Archangel
1 King Street, Frome BA11 1BH
This historic town centre pub, for many years known simply as the Angel, consists of a rabbit warren of separate rooms, snugs and bars, linked by a long central passageway. The building dates from medieval times and records show that there was an inn called the Archangel in the centre of town in 1311. In 2008 the pub underwent a massive renovation before re-opening, changing its name to the Archangel. The layout consists of a main public bar, a separate coffee bar, three cosy snugs, all on the ground level, plus a mezzanine restaurant and, upstairs and towards the front of the building, the Library, a sort of chill-out room, and the Naval Room, which is for events and food. At the rear of the pub is a courtyard enclosed within high walls. The Archangel provides accommodation, ten rooms in all. The pub is open all-day, everyday. There are four real fires, with one outside, in the courtyard. The range of ales consists of two from the Marston stable and up to two locally sourced guests - often from Frome brewery (was Milk St) or Box Steam.
Blue Boar Inn
15 Market Place, Frome BA11 1AN
Nice old traditional locals pub, dating back to 1691. Close to the town centre. There are two bars. One changing beer on.
Cornerhouse
1 Christchurch Street East, Frome BA11 1QA
This smart pub and hotel, situated on the brow of a hill not far from Frome town centre, was originally called the Lamb and was the brewery tap for the long-closed Lamb brewery. In around 2007 it was acquired by the nearby Blindman's brewery and refurbished to a very high standard. However about four years later the pub was sold on, and the name was changed to the Cornerhouse. The interior has a modern, light and spacious feel. On the ground floor, with its slate floor and local artwork, is the bar and restaurant whilst upstairs there is a function room suitable for meetings of up to 30 people. Any guest beers tend to be from local micro breweries. Meanwhile Rich's Farmhouse is available on handpump.

A traditional pub with a large enclosed garden and covered patio area in the countryside near the junction of the A361 Frome by-pass.
Crown Inn

A grade II listed building just out of the town centre it was extensively refurbished in Oct 2021 and converted from a locals pub to a gastropub/restaurant. Cask ale was removed along with a number of the 1960s features. Listing in CAMRA's 'Historic Interiors' website is under review.

A large impressive Hotel building in the centre of Frome, with a traditional bar.
Griffin
Milk Street, Frome BA11 3DB
Situated in the part of Frome known as Trinity or Chinatown, the Griffin was formerly the brewery tap for Milk Street (now Frome) brewery, which is situated on the outskirts of the town. Note the pub closes its doors one hour before the bar closes. Up to four Frome ales and guests as well as a range of craft beers. Recently refurbished and under new management, the single bar retains some original features such as etched windows and wooden floor, but a stained glass Griffin behind the bar is, in fact, relatively new. Food is available daily, serving burgers and street food from locally sourced ingredients and suppliers, Sunday lunch is very popular. A newly expanded patio 'garden' can be found out at the back of the pub.
Lamb & Fountain
57 Castle Street, Frome BA11 3BW
A small and very friendly unspoilt gem with fantastic views over the town this is a grade II listed building on the CAMRA register as "An historic pub interior of regional importance". Known locally as "Mothers" and run for over 50 years by Freda Searl. Freda made no major changes to the pub during her time at the helm but sadly passed away in Nov 21 and the pub is now run by her daughter Sue. Glad to say, we believe that Sue plans to follow her mothers wishes and leave the pub just as it is. Hidden under a trapdoor, or so it is said, is an entrance to Frome's legendary tunnels. As with many of the town's pubs, cider is the main tipple of the locals.
Masons Arms
Marston Gate, Frome BA11 4DJ
Smart and comfortable pub with extensive areas for dining as well as plenty of room for those just wanting a pint. The food is very well reviewed. Reopened in April 2016 after a major renovation, this roadside country pub is on the old main road into Frome from the south.
Old Bath Arms
1 Palmer St, Frome BA11 1DS

Since July '17 all beers are from the Marstons stable. Meanwhile there is a large cider range in up to six boxes encompassing local brands such as Orchard Pig, Wyldwood and Black Rat. Live music includes a pub pianist (with the piano intriguingly situated on a raised area overlooking Findlay's Real Ale Bar) and a traditional violinist. There are murals and paintings by local artists on display throughout the pub.
Artisan
6 Christchurch St W, Frome BA11 1EQ
Reopened Aug 2018 after a change of tenant. Fully refurbished in the first half of 2015, the newly renamed Artisan now has a smart, chic, feel to it. Food is obviously a big part of this pub, but drinkers get a warm welcome as well, and there is plenty of comfortable seating in what is a surprisingly spacious main bar area. There is also a good sized outside drinking area, made up of of wooded decking on several levels. There is a separate restaurant area that looks out to the outside seating areas.
