Straightforward street corner boozer with well-kept ales. Two beers from the Marston's family. The open-plan layout focuses on the cosy area by the log fire, plus there's a comfy lower level room full of wartime memorabilia. Car parking nearby is easy.
Miners Rest

Taken over by Joule's in 2012, and has recently had a total makeover. This is one of their more rural acquisitions. Open plan with three separate areas, Joule's memorabilia features throughout. The front bar area has a pool table and dartboard, there are a number of old photographs relating to local mining history. BT Sports TV is limited to this area of the pub. The large lounge area is on two levels. They have a enclosed grassy beer garden to the rear. They offer traditional food mainly Cobs, Sausage Rolls, Pork Pies and the usual pub snacks. Children are allowed in the pub, but not after 8-00pm. The pub offers three beers from the Joules range, and also has one ever changing guest ale.

Reopened in August 2021 after a major refurbishment by Black Country Ales. There is a bank of 16 hand pulls of 13 ales (8 BCA) and 3 ciders, some of which may be real ciders.
