Excellent multi roomed 18th century pub set in attractive countryside in Buxworth village. It caters for all tastes and families and walkers are welcome. There is a pleasant outdoor patio drinking area and also a children’s play area. Good value food and real fires complement a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Accommodation is also available. The guest beers tend to be sourced from micros. The pub stands alongside the recently renovated Buxworth Peak Forest Canal Basin, once the terminus of the limestone carrying Peak Forest Canal Tramway from the quarries up at Dove Holes. Food served 12 noon until 20.30.

It is located close to the site of the historic refurbished Bugsworth Canal Basin on the Peak Forest Canal. It is handy for boaters, cyclists and walkers when visiting this picturesque rural area on the edge of the Peak District. The club is open to non-members.
