53º @ Buxton Tap House

At the rear of the crescent in Buxton's café quarter close to the Opera House and the Dome. An exiting collaboration between 53 Degrees North and Buxton Brewery the bar has four handpumps serving a changing selection of Buxton Brewery cask beers, in addition there is a large number of fonts offering a variety of beer styles and strengths (all beers are listed on the blackboard). 1/3 pint measures are available of all draught beers on offer. A variety of food using fresh local produce is available all week.

The first micropub in the High Peak, its two rooms converted from a former wine shop off Buxton Market Square. Beer is the thing here with four changing beers from microbreweries up and down the country, as well as three real ciders. The objective is to bring to Buxton beers which are rarely, if ever, seen in the town. The enthusiastic staff ensure a warm and friendly welcome. An eclectic choice of background music on vinyl is played. Refurbished during COVID lockdown when a log-burning stove was also fitted.

Previously named 'Rumours' this stylish bistro/wine bar in a period style listed building in the historic centre of the town. On the ground floor a small bar at the back serves a well furnished and comfortable area. Restaurant area upstairs. Name changed to La Capri's in 2020, only serves national keg and bottled beers.

This café/restaurant is part of the Pavilion Gardens complex in the centre of Buxton. On entry one is greeted and shown to a table. Breakfast is served between 9.30 and 11.30 after which time a full lunchtime menu is offered. The casual drinker is welcome but it's table service only & you pay your bill at the end. Two real ales served from the Marston's stable in addition to a few bottle-conditioned beers from Buxton Brewery.

The bar opened in late 2017 and is located within a converted RBS bank in the centre of Buxton. Most of the interior has been refitted with wood effect tile flooring; there is a large new bar and a small mezzanine level above the new toilet facilities. Seating comprises a mix of large leather booths & freestanding tables. There remains a few original etched glass windows and an original mahogany & glass office space with additional seating & service hatch to the left of the bar. In addition to the four cask RedWillow beers and one guest beer on handpump there are a further 15 on offer as craft keg beers, together with a selection of bottled beers from across the UK & abroad. There are also 50 gins, various cocktails, & wine on tap. Tea & Coffee can be served and food is available too in the form of snacks and platters. The beers available, together with pricing, is displayed on TV screens.
53° North @ The Cellar Bar

Reopened October 2021 following redecoration works. Owned and run following a merger between 53 Degrees North and the Buxton Brewery Tap House next door but one, although it is a separate bar with its own entrance. It concentrates on being a more drink orientated establishment, with no food served. It has a single room, split into two seating areas with the bar at the rear on the right. The décor is simple with an original brick vaulted ceiling. An outdoor seating area is provided at the front, which is shared with the Tap House. Four cask and 12 keg beers from Buxton Brewery and collaboration brews are served from hand pulls on the bar and taps behind the bar along with a large selection of their canned and bottled beers.

Previously Harpur Hill Club it has now been re-opened as a family run bar and caters for all ages with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. There is a large function room free to hire, for nearly all occasions with an ample amount of tables and chairs and a dancefloor. With a big capacity of 250-300 it also offers a games room for; snooker, pool, darts. It also has a nice lounge area with comfortable seats, a piano and a widescreen TV. SKY SPORTS can be viewed in all rooms and multiple channels can be shown at the same time. With a 180degree bar it offers 3 large points of service so its ideal for any big functions. It also has wheel chair access and disabled facilities and two small car parks and also a sheltered smoking area at the rear of the premises.
