A true Micro Bar opened in June 2018 in a former shop unit on the outside of the Millgate centre. The Thirsty Fish is adjacent to the famous Bury Market and also close to Bury Interchange, so very handy for the bus and Metrolink. The bar sells up to six constantly changing real ales. It has a good selection of continental lagers. No real cider is currently on sale but it is hoped to restart selling it again in the near future. Table service at present. Dogs are welcome, but children are not allowed.

There is seating for 30 at the Tap and a good selection of their beers, together with gin distilled locally in Rivington. The Tap is run by father and son who are passionate about their beers and for keg lovers it is a great opportunity to mix with locals and visitors and chat over a drink. It is also dog friendly. They also feature 8 keg beers again mainly their own but they also feature guests. Only Keg Beers at present as no hand pull on bar.
