A friendly wee pub with great community atmosphere, with separate lounge / function room and a large beer garden area. The small cosy bar area has fixed bench seating and low ceiling. The Inn itself dates back to around 1790 and is a Category C listed building.Original rings on external walls for tying up horses are now used by cyclists .Just one handpull but the next cask is always tapped ready for a quick changeover.

Taken over by resident owners Lee-Anne and Paul in May 2018. Ongoing refurbishment from then with first restaurant then secondly public bar (entrance on Side Street) opening in September 2019. Occasional real ale. Usually closed Monday and Tuesday expect for December. Good value home cooked meals.
