The Wheatsheaf dates back to the 16th century and is a five minute walk from the town centre. The welcoming staff at this friendly and traditional feeling pub with a real fire in the colder months. There are two rooms with an island shaped bar in the centre. Traditional pub games are available, with Darts, Dominoes, Crib and Pool teams based here. Friday / Sunday evenings there is a Disco / Karaoke. Saturday there is live music ranging from Rock, Irish and Acoustic on the re-built stage. There is an enclosed beer garden.
