Salisbury Conservative Club

Members club in an imposing building set back from the road. Non-members are welcome though to have a drink in the bar and use the large riverside garden. Two full size snooker tables are for use by members only. Two real ales from Sharp's are usually featured as the bar is tied to Molson Coors.

Reputedly one of Baths oldest buildings the Grapes re-opened as a freehouse in late Aug 2019 after a two year closure and a stylish and sympathetic refurb. Two or maybe three ales typically from local brewers such as Fine Tuned , Frome or Kettlesmith or from further afield such as Anarchy, Oakham, Thornbridge, Boss, Cross Bay, Dark Star or Tiny Rebel. Wine on tap ! Live music Thurs and Sat. Offers 5% CAMRA discount. Food service is a small menu of locally sourced soups, cold meats and such like (more specialty deli than pie and chips!). Izakaya supper evenings are likely to become a regular occurrence at weekends in the upstairs room.

Previously a bike shop, now part of the Loungers cafe bar group. This is a comfortable beer and food establishment, open from early in the day for brunch.

A 'retro' bar that is part of Cosy Club bar/ Loungers restaurant chain, situated on first floor within the New Southgate pedestrianised shopping complex. There is a terrace overlooking Southgate Place, this is one of the main gathering points within the development. Currently not serving real ale.

Green Park Brasserie

Lively brasserie on site of old train station. Butcombe Bitter normally available. Drinkers and diners welcome - diners have priority for seating during live music sessions ( Wed- Sat) . Sometimes closes for functions so worth checking ahead. Independently owned and run for 25 years by Andrew Peters who also owns Bath Pizza Co; their wood fired pizzas are available in the restaurant.

Framptons Cafe Bar & Kitchen

The Bath branch of Framptons (a small chain of three) cafe bar and kitchen opened in Jun 2017 in a converted billiards room in The Empire on Grand Parade. The emphasis on all day food, cocktails and tank beer: Krusovice Imperial lager, brewed near Prague, is supplied from 500 litre vats behind and above the bar. Only a single cask ale (Bath Gem) is now available.

A craft beer bar, on two levels, in the new Southgate development. They sell up to 7 beers, all keg, from local and national brands. In the large upstairs room there is extra seating and a pool table, The sourdough pizzas come recommended by the locals.

A new Craft ales bar opened in Bath at the top of Walcot street in Summer 2018 . Up to 10 craft beers on Key keg, plus many bottle conditioned beers and cans. Limited seating available. The beers on tap can come from all over the UK and the world, including Ireland, Germany, and the USA.

Bottle shop just across Pulteney Bridge from the tourist throng with seating area for up to 20 persons in which to drink on the premises. Apart from the extensive range of over 500 bottles and cans, they offer six draught (Keykeg) beers with usually one from Electric Bear and the others from pretty well anywhere, not just the UK. Local cider, wine and alcohol free beers are also available. Note that any bottles or cans can be purchased for drinking on the premises. On the evening of the third Thursday of every month there is a 'Tasting Event' usually based around half a dozen beers of a particular type, Stout, or IPA for instance, or from a single brewery. See the Beercraft website for details. There is now a downstairs seating area (see photo) which greatly expands the room for drinkers.
