A long time real ale outlet still flying the flag where most pubs in the locality can't be bothered. A well run and welcoming place, the cosy lounge and rear room are very popular and offer pleasant surrounding for lunchtime (12-2) diners. The spacious public bar is the haunt of younger drinkers and sports fans. Note the half sized casks attached to the external wall. The guest ale is changed every few days. ^Sadly reported as no longer selling real ale (June 2019)
